About SD/DD/FB – Single Deflection, Double Deflection and Fixed Blade Grille

The deflection range of grilles are versatile and cost-effective, and are available in three models:

SD – Single deflection
A single bank of individually adjustable blades, held in place by a high tensile spring wire.
DD – Double deflection
Two banks of individually adjustable blades set perpendicularly to each other, held in place with high tensile spring wire.
FB – Fixed blade
A single bank of fixed blades, set at either 0°, 15° or 45°.

All series are manufactured from the same aluminium extrusions for a consistent appearance across the range.

Options include hinged and removable cores, rear-mounted opposed blade dampers for airflow balancing, and polyester powder coating to any RAL/BS colour.

Material: Extruded aluminium frame and blades, high tensile steel wire and steel lock washers

Standard frame: SD and FB – 32BS (32mm bevelled small) DD – 32BD (32mm bevelled large)

Optional frame(s): 25F (25mm flat) SML (Surface mounted large)

Standard finish: Satin anodised (AA5)

Optional finishes: Polyester powder coated to any RAL or BS colour

Free area: 80% maximum

Mass/m2: SD and FB – 8.5 kg, DD – 14.5 kg

Mass/m2 c/w opposed blade damper: SD and FB – 16.5 kg, DD – 22.5 kg
